Welcome to my personal web page!
Lenka Plavcova
I'm a plant ecophysiologist and my main area of interest lies in tree water relations, with a core expertise in xylem physiology. During my research career, I have looked at xylem structure and function from various angles. My current project focuses on a so far neglected but very interesting part of the xylem - the ray and axial parenchyma.

Before moving to my current position at the University of Hradec Králové, the Czech Republic, I held the Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship at Ulm University, Germany (2013-2015). I received my PhD degree in Forest Ecology and Management in 2012 from the University of Alberta, Canada.
